You've got great imagination, yet you can get down to the nitty-gritty, too. That alone is enough to give you the chops to enter the contest.

I'm kind of impressed with the Pathfinder RPG rules. They took the standard D&D rules available under the open gaming license and fixed a lot of the kludgier aspects. So, it's at least worth checking out the website to get a free PDF copy of their rule set.

And the first stage of the contest is designing a wondrous magical item that can be described in 200 words or less. So, you won't waste a whole lot of time even if you do fail utterly! :-)
