Also, talking about his first pitch batting average is wildly misleading.

The stat only tracks balls he puts in play. In execution, he either fouls off or misses most of the first pitches he swings at. That's where it all goes south for him.
And I honestly do not understand why anyone throws him a strike on the first pitch. All that does is give him a chance.
