This is one of those days that makes me feel good about my country and here's why:

I was a political staffer for a few years and learned that today was the whole marijuana "protest" day. Several hundred kids would take the day off, hang out on the grounds of the provincial legislature and smoke up, play hackey sack, basically all the useless hippy things.
What I loved about it was that in many many countries of the world, kids would be scared to hang out in front of their place of gov't. Here, they were smoking weed and throwing frisbees.
Always made me smile.
