It's absurd that individual pirating is such a small slice of the larger problem and yet the trade groups spend all their time...

...trying to screw the consumer. Real pirating comes from large organized groups - largely overseas - who pirate content wholesale and then resell it. Even when individuals do pirate stuff, they rarely act to profit from it. I wonder how successful the MPAA and RIAA would be at halting piracy if they focused exclusively on these groups.
