Borderlands question...

I have two Corrosive and three Incendiary artifacts I am unable to use, presumably because I'm maxed out in those categories. I've tried re-allocating my points in order to see if I could do so that way, but I could not.

Should I just sell these or is there something I can do with them down the road? Alternately, can these be traded within the group? They are all level 38 and 44, respectively.
