There was a brief note about that around the time the idea was first brought up.

Basically, it won't do what the league hopes. Indy had a divisional game late in the season, after they had already secured their spot in the playoffs. They rested their starters.
And it could be bad for some bitter rivals, especially those with dirty players. Because yes, I do think there are some players who would intentionally injure someone from a playoff-bound rival.
