So, I'm not very financially-knowledgeable, but can anybody tell me what's so "bad" about the Cantor market that has all of Hollywood up in arms?

I understand it's probably just a thinly veiled gambling operation since no real commodities are traded. But what are the "disastrous consequences" that I see bandied about every time I read about it? Bad press for a movie if its price is low? Insider trading? Honest question, since the ramifications of this kind of stuff often escape me.
