Survivors is in no way great, but it's only 6 episodes (although the writer said he's ended on a cliff hanger in the hope of a 2nd series).

The current series of Spooks has been much better than Survivors.
BBCA has a G&S marathon today I think.
I gave up on Nathan Barley after about 3 episodes, it seemed to appeal only to media types who work in Shoreditch for anyone else to relate, but what I saw was really savage in its hatred. Otherwise anything else by/with Chris Morris or Armando Inanucci is highly recommended such as The Day Today (with Steve Coogan), The Thick of It, and Brass Eye.
The IT Crowd from one of the writer's of Father Ted is great fun too (particularly from series 2 onwards).
I was trying to find a link to the Xfm podcasts that Ricky used to do a few years ago, but looks like it's not on their site anymore.
