When I was one of many colonial visitors to the big city of London...
We heard about the Aussie lad - fresh off the farm -who arrived in London and found lodging in Earl's Court like the rest of us. As he found his bearings and started making new friends be began to see more of a particularly attractive girl.
Finally he was ready to make the big move and asked some of his buddies about 'protection.' Where should he go, what should he ask for/buy?
One of the guys with local experience said "Well, your best bet is probably Boots."
The kid, with a puzzled look, scratched his head and said......
