So dinner with the elderly neighbor ladies and her diabetic daughter was its normal good fun, I guess it ain't the semi death sentence...

I dunno, it seemed that every male in the family got it before they died so I have sorta bad associations with it, (in fact my beloved dog was one) so I was expecting this strong carismatic woman to be a wreck and unable to eat anything but in fact she was her chipper self and in fact thinks it was almost a good thing as she now knows how to eat properly and excerise right and knows to take the damn time to do it.

So she has type 2 and apparently a mild case (the nutritionist was surprised she was even diagnosed with her levels, maybe the doc figured she wasn't listening otherwise) and in the last couple months has dropped 20 pounds.

So she just has to eat wisely and frequently and even gets 'days off' like today so it was no problem

Pretty sure you've gotten a somewhat distorted view of diabetes. Millions of people have it, and I'm sure almost all of them eat, and also smile some. -- nm - TFox Nov 27, 21:53 1
