I'm just reporting the news here.

My parents have worked with a care team through Church that partners them with terminally ill people, most often people with AIDS. In most cases, those people were gay, so it did color Mom's world some. It also softened Dad a lot on the homosexuality thing. He was a big old homophobe before. He's still anti-gay from a religious perspective (and still harbors secret thoughts that faith can convert me to hetero, I think) but he's come a long way.
