Again, if I'm being offensive with these questions, please just tell me to shut the hell up.
This is part of who you are. Why is there a need for an announcement of any sort? Is there something wrong with simply showing up to family functions with a date/S.O. as a hetero would do?
It almost seems that if a person treated it as introducing any new GF or BF to the family (i.e., give it no more significance than that) it would take a good bit of the "event" out of it.
Maybe I'm just too "to each their own" on this topic.
