Buddy of mine did this. Told his best man, "No strippers. Sue [the bride] doesn't approve."

B-party day comes, and he's, "YOU DIDN'T GET A STRIPPER?!? Dude, I thought you knew I was just saying that in front of Sue!" Poor best man, it wasn't his fault.
I'm not sure if this is related or not, but my buddy and "Sue" got divorced only a couple years later.
