I would agree for the most part, but its not like the other parties can raise funds on their own....

I am very much in favour of the current system that allows parties to recieve money for each vote and which bans corporate and union donations.

However, I do find it interesting that with the exception of the Conservatives, the fundraising abilities of the rest of the parties is very small. This tells me that even people who call themselves "Liberals" or whatever other party dont believe in their party enough to even dontate a $100 a year. I used to be a die hard Liberal and went to all the conventions and gave money and time every year. Until they personally screwed me over and I have not given or helped out since. And I know I am not the only one.
