Comic enthusiasts - is there any general interest in Hopalong Cassidy?

I see some listed on Ebay. How does condition affect the price?
I'm looking at a 1948 #23.
Responses:
Hoppy fans can be crazy. condition is a 2 edged sword. hi end people only want the best, but low grade attracts a lot who want a reading copy

No, I was just looking at Ebay for comps. The library bookstore has one for $7.50 but it doesn't look in particularly good condition :/ -- nm
