It truly does for networking.
For quality of education? I only went to one school, so I can't compare.

Those of us who went to universities that cost 100s of K's more than a public university might, it's what we cling to.

I went where was free. I had 12:1 SF ratio as an undergrad and graduated 100% debt free.
