but it cheapens what Halak did. This wasn't some normal 3-2, 4-3, 4-2 hockey game...this was one guy stopping 97%+ of his shots against. This was one guy dominating the game.
Caps didn't get it done, but choking is way too easy a headline to write and ignores the fact Montreal the last 3 games was better. Halak was the best player on the ice those 3 games. When the goalie's the best, you typically win. See Buffalo with Hasek, Montreal with Roy, NJ with Brodeur, Team USA with Ryan Miller. The most dominating position in major sports showed why it is.
