Obviously I don't feel much of an impact from illegal immigration up here either.
This is a nation of immigrants. I have zero problem with anyone moving here from another country and joining us. But there's a process they need to follow. We have immigration laws for a reason and they really oughtta be followed.
What I find frustrating is that 'undocumented' aliens can actually get arrested and move through the system, maybe even serve a little time, and then let back out on the street with not even a cursory investigation as to whether they have legal status. The system is *not* working, hence the AZ law, which will probably be the first of many.
And the MOST frustrating thing is of course that if you express any support for enforcing immigration law, you're an automatic racist.
