You're so lucky !

Some people just don't understand about beans and cornbread. A member of my family had a heart transplant so I had to change our recipe from hamhocks to more mirepoix and about 6 oz. of center cut bacon. On New Years Day I like to put the great big hambone I have frozen from the family feast at Thanksgiving into the pot of black-eye peas to make sure we have plenty of good luck. As for the rest of the stuff he's making, it's just lagniappe.
