A couple of gifts for my wife that didn't miss...

When your kids are old enough...a video of them reading books to her. I have one of my then 6 or 7 year old son reading "I Love You Forever." That was a double Kleenex winner. The other good gift was having the kids choose an activity they would like to do with just their Mom and then buying the gift certificates for that. Last year, my daughter chose seeing a play with my wife so I sent them to dinner and Mary Poppins. My son wanted to get books they could read together so I got gist certificates to Barnes and Noble so they coupld buy books and lunch.
