Well, as a Quebec resident, I was hoping he could give me something and instead he only re-confirmed what I've been upset at.

Namely, that it is apparently a ridiculous hope that Quebec residents will eventually find themselves wanting to be Canadian, happy to be Canadian and wanting to solve problems for all Canadians and not just those of Quebec.
I am not understanding the acceptance and the shrugging, "That's just the way it is," attitude from people on this and cannot see how ignoring it won't make it a bigger potential problem down the line.
As far as your argument, you are being impractical to the point where one can only read your last sentence as being factious. If you don't want campaigning, what do you suggest as an alternative?
