that's crazy talk - they've already been canned - what's to "prepare" - put them in a pan and heat them up.

I don't get the question obviously. My mom used to make this AWESOME grean bean dish ... you put the beans in with a quartered onion, some baby new potatos cut in half or quarters if they're big, and chunks of ham and heat it up for a long time - until the potatos are fork tender. Oh - and you need to add water obviously - but if the beans are canned - just use the canning liquid ... add cracked black pepper and when you plate it - have some vinegar to splah on it - gives it a "bright" sort of flavor ... I think it's flavored vinegar - like champagne vinegar or something like that? Anyway - it was pretty good stuff.
