The information that comes from the Canadian Census is used by our office a few times a week. Its invaluble for small businesses starting off to help them determine where their best clients are and how to sell to them.

Without tools like the census, many businesses would not exist or would not be profitable. Your employer is located where it is because of two main government tools. Your local economic development office and the census.

You not filling out the census (or the millions of others like you who do not) may affect new businesses supporting your current business and could lead to layoffs.

I deal with this stuff at least weekly and almost daily.

The purpose of the cencus (in the US) is to count residents for proper representation in our government, not to do market research for private - psilotum May 11, 09:56 4
