I think it was less than that.

I think she had already dropped out of college by the time she was introduced. Dean's character was born in '79(I had to look that part up), so he was about 27 at the time. There is no DOB for her that I can find, but I think 19 is the youngest she could have been. I'm inclined to say more likely 21-22, but don't have much to back that up with.
