I think her answer to the "constitutional right" question could be fairly read as an artful job.

"Does you believe it is" was the question. Would her answer have been different if the question was "Do you believe it *should* be..."?
It's the type of question that nominees *know* they need to be tactful about. And she's been at the Federal level long enough to know not to give opposition ammo.
But it does leave one to wonder if she would support a reading of the Constitution to allow gay marriage.
I'm fine with that so long as when the time comes to decide the issue she decides for a Constitutional right and not against it.
