there's this old movie (like back in the days of black and white filming perhaps) that was famous and is still looked on as 'a classic' ... it was about a preacher who was actually a dark character ... he had something tattooed on his knuckles ... on one hand was "love" i think... can't remember the other ... but other movies have payed homage to this over the years ... i remember there was an homage to it in Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing ...
anyway, i'm trying to remember the name of this first movie ...
any suggestions ?
