There's a very real chance the GG cannot accept the coalition due to the Bloc support being required to make it work.

#2 gets the GG explicitly involved in the politics of the country, which seems like much more of a non-starter to me. -- nm

That's the role though. The same way that the coalition is a part of the process, the GG "looking out for national interests" does as well.

I think they're dreaming if they think they can get 2 1/2 years, or even 1 out of this, but they have to be given the shot.

That's the point though...They don't. There's no historical precidence for the #2 and #3 to be accepted.
