I've been reading and the arguments tend to be two-fold...
|
1) There is no Commonwealth precident that has a coalition being accepted without the involvement of the #1 party,
2) The Bloc - based on their goals - are a non-starter, because the GG must look out for the best interests of the country and at a base level, the Bloc do not. The only way the coalition is guaranteed to survive a confidence vote (because the Tories still out-number them combined) is to have the Bloc sign off as supportive of them for a period of time. That tacit support could kill the chances of the coalition being accepted.
I was at a wine & cheese last night and the agreement was that there's a very real chance that this is headed over to England at some point with Liz weighing in on the colony. *Grin*
