Take Armageddon
I can accept that they are sending people to an asteroid to blow it up. I can accept that the crews they are sending have zero astronaut training.
I cannot accept that NASA, even as inept as it has sometimes been, would launch two shuttles, simultaneously, from launch pads that are only several hundred yards apart.
I cannot accept that they would make a point of weight being an issue then load up a rover that is ARMED WITH HEAVY GUNS AND AMMO.
The movie fails because of those points alone, though there are plenty more issue with it.
