I'm using "Chrome OS" to refer to whatever they eventually sell as an OS on laptops, etc

If that ends up being an enhanced version of Android, then fine.
Point is, they're putting most of the components of that experience out there ahead of time. What do I do without Outlook? GMail. What do I do without Word? Google Docs. Internet Explorer? Chrome. Almost everything else... there's an app for that. Adoption will happen much quicker when people have already used these things.
