Rand's only saying what all libertarians say. If companies misbehave, the people will vote with their wallets. Of course, this isn't the case, and we have to legislate to make them behave. Heck, even when we do (see BP), they still misbehave, but then we have the power of law with which to punish them.
Rand says businesses can discriminate. People should just shop elsewhere. And I'm sure the unicorns in his fantasy world would do just that.
