I almost think that Modern Family might be too perfect.

It's so precise that I sometimes find myself intellectualizing the structure as much as I'm just enjoying the show. It's almost like it is generated by a computer. There's a messiness to Cougar Town that I really like. It doesn't always work but the WTF absurdist quality really works for me.
