probably because of the field I'm in pedis is pronounced "pee-dis" not like short for pedicure (also I'm a guy so pedicure really isn't in my vocabulary)
also she was mentioning bachelorette party which makes me think of bachelor party which obviously brings to mind nakedness. this is why I was guessing pedis was just a typo for penis... "and penis with my best friends"
