I need some method of getting bees, all kinds from the big black fuzzy bumbles to the little mason bees, to buzz off for awhile.
I don't want to harm bees...
I don't want to kill any...
I don't want to permanently chase them away.
My problem is, I have a little wedding garden to perform small 'elopement' type ceremonies and the area has a carpet of thyme and an arch (made of a pig panel) covered with climbing roses, here and there are lavendars and pots with all kinds of flowers. The main problem is close to where the bride stands is a very enthusiastic lavendar which attracts dozens of bees and I really don't want to dig it up as it seems to enjoy the spot.
However, very few elopement brides wear full length wedding dresses, most often if they are dressed up at all its a regular cocktail dress or even a sun dress and lengths are typically knee or shorter.
This means a hem line right about where a squadron of hungry bees are gathering pollen.
Now the worse case senario might make a great video for any of those TV shows of wedding disasters, certainly a Utube hit, I'd like to be able to avoid any misunderstandings with the bee community and that whole If you don't bother them they won't bother you thing.
Is there some kind of spray that would tell bees, you don't want to be 'bee' here for awhile?
