One small point: notice that when Jack woke up, it was on the same fallen tree (I think) that MIB woke up on after his transfiguration. So I guess the island transported him there, so he could complete the symmetry and see the Ajira flight go over?

Wasn't the Ajira flight rigged with bombs? Maybe I wasn't paying attention a few weeks ago, but I thought it'd exploded.
