I thought exactly the same thing. At its heart, Lost was a show about faith. About accepting things that can't be explained. (spoils sort of)

I get that that can also seem like an easy out. We have all this complex stuff happening and our big answer is, "just accept it". But it's really done very beautifully. Jack, the man of science who couldn't accept Locke and his faith in the island doesn't fully realize his potential until he accepts it, and in the sideways time line can't move on until he accepts it. It's frustrating dealing with these unanswered questions, but the way they developed at the growth of the characters made it a very satisfying, and very emotional ending for me. Answers would be nice, but the fact that they made a fantasy show so moving is a huge credit to them.
