redemption from putting their selfishness behind.

Jin mistreated Sun and became detached because of what he had done for her father to win her heart. Sun had cheated on Jin because of the distance, even plotting to leave Jin. Their child and their battles together to save each other were catalyst to redeem their past transgressions. The writers threw that out the door so they could die in each other's arms.

I *hated* it.
