if it were the "real world" can accept that's a problem. That's the exact reason why I *hate* the Jin/Sun conclusion.

But this purgatory arc is highlighted by these "flash" revelations. It possible that there's no way we could just accept it not being "real", but these "flash" revlations are supposed moment of clarity where lives, feelings and memories that didn't exist all of sudden do. It's a fiction that we can accept becuase of the implicit aceptance that this purgatory throws out the regular rules of acceptance. Every one of the losties suddently recieve moments of clarity that allows them to leave purgatory lives.
