The only one that jumps out at me for NYC is Houston St.

It's pronounced how-ston, not the same pronunciation like the city in Texas.

we also have Spadina Ave. and Spadina House that are pronounced differently.

Possibly. I guess if you've heard of Peter Stuyvesant than you'd pronounce it right. Otherwise I could see it being said wrong. -- nm
