that it unveiled an entirely new idea for me in terms of what goes on in the mind of an autistic child, a subject matter that still fascinates me to this day for obvious reasons. No, a lot of the stories in St. Elsewhere wouldn't have happened since they were so strongly sexual and thereby impossible for a small boy to have. Still, whenever I look at Chris when he is visiting his other place in his mind, I frequently think about that moment in that episode.
