This happened to me when I first moved to NYC and it was right after I fell off a bus and twisted my knee.

And then I got anaphylaxis from a fruit roll-up while my new boss was trying to get me fired (she didn't like me). As all these things happened within my first month in NYC people thought I was scared and insane and dooming myself for failure so I'd run back home to Buffalo.
