Yeah, once I accepted that there was simply no way all the loose ends would be tied up, I was able to enjoy the show much more.

I got a bit worn down somewhere in the 4th season, I think, and while I still liked the show, I don't think I was appreciating the good of it, because I focused too much on getting answers for the mystery and lore.

Sure *some* answers were needed, but once you accept the conceit that *all* answers could never be given on a show whose intrigue was all about mystery, then the show became more enjoyable.

Which isn't to say I didn't still object to stuff and find flaws (don't get me started again on Sun and Jin), but it's not losing the forest while focusing on the trees.
