I figured, a long time ago, that the details were there to divert people.

I didn't know if I was right or not. I just kind of made a decision to not pay too much attention to minutiae, and focus instead of overarching themes. I tried to figure out the power structure. I'm not going to claim I figured it all out, because I didn't. But by random chance, it turned out that the finale was more satisfying for someone with my point of view.
