Tru I totally agree with you, the Army Corps of Engineers should have been doing more stuff to stop the oil from hitting landfall....

I was watching a news report about how local law enforcement put up Choppers and boats in the water to track the oil coming in and they saw it 20 miles out, 15 miles out, 10 miles out and then landfall and nothing was being done until the day before it landed...
now granted I'm positive 90% of the reason we didn't see anything was logistical more than anything else. It takes time to get the 'machine' moving.
But geez, we really needed to have stuff moving and in play by the end of the 2nd week.
