Judging by her comments, I'd wager she was approaching 300lbs. That's a.....legitimate concern

you lose 110lbs and you're in society's acceptance level, that's at least 250lbs pre-first steps...
that's a pretty solid blow the esteem I'd have to think that this mindset would bounce off from.
