regardless of what they said, I don't think in a minority a coalition is ever off the table.

thinking otherwise is naive, even if it hasn't happened in 90 years.

I think Harper was trying to push through some crap he knew was controversial, but assumed he'd get away with it since no one was on the footing to have another election so soon. I don't think the tories saw this one coming at all, which is why they're getting so shrill about it.
