I don't buy this, it's the 5th best player AT BEST, and in all the history of the NBA it's never happened before

I mean comeon, like no team before has lost a better player and still eked it out?

I agree. If they lost Garnett , Rondo or Pierce, you could try and use it as an excuse.

this is true, but we're talking multiple players, that open a gargantuan hole in their defense and completely cripple their gameplan.
