I actually am going to encourage my junior TA to get a new GA next year. I'm supposed to work ten hours per week and my average is about 25 hours per week. the professor for whom I TA won't listen when I tell him that I'm overtime almost every week.
it should be a 20-hour position. as it's not, it's not worth it.
