The tacoma jazz and blues fest was basically a bunch of blues bands in the day downtown at a couple brew taverns, and later was a jazz show at a new night club in a different neighborhood. There's a couple bars on the block and a couple have middle aged market rnb etc. across the street is a large store front cavern that has all ages punk rock shows, no alcohol, they had a metal fest, 20 bands 20 bucks all weekend.
the fucking cops threw everything they have, I've never seen so many since san fran presidential protests, this way, that way, side streets, a dozen motorcycles, a dozen squad cars, they even had that pick up truck that looks like a redneck hauler but has hidden red/blue strobe lights. some girls run across the street at the cross walk, get cited for jay walk, they didn't press the button for the blinking light.
they were pulling over every third or forth car, no reasons that we could see (and half the bar was out on the sidewalk watching what the hell was going on. some wedding limo.
I seriously gave thought of leaving my car. some of other the bar patrons called cabs, 2 pull up and they get tickets for double parking, seriously.
wtf
I waited for some action at the other end of the area and drove off the other way.
