VENT: God, I have had enough of various family members pressuring me to go stay with my sister and her newborns.

I have explained to her and to everyone else in the family... I have been out of work for almost 8 months. This is a critical hiring period in my industry and I need to be here. She has a vast local network of friends who have offered to help, plus my parents live 15 minutes away. I have had it up to here with everyone expecting me to drive 500 miles, put my job search on hold, and go up there. She is not stranded. I, on the other hand, need to find a job to support myself.
